French 18th Century Wrought Iron Archelle

A magnificent example of French 18th century wrought iron work. Originating from northern France this Archelle with domed outline and five hooks would have been hung close to the kitchen hearth whereupon would have hung cups, flesh forks, spoons etc. The detail in the iron work is superb and would have been crafted by a highly skilled Blacksmth of the day. A beautiful rustic decoration.

Condition commensurate with age and use. Some surface rust.
