Early Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson Oak Cheeseboard

Fabulous and rare Late 1940's/1950s carved Oak mouse on cheeseboard by Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson of Kilburn North Yorkshire (1876-1955). The plump carved mouse was his signature and he carved it on every beautiful piece he crafted. Famous throughtout the world his pieces are highly decorative and sought after. This cheese board is an early example as post 1960 these boards have the mouse on the handle.

Condition commensurate with age and use. No repairs or blade marks.
