19th century Nautical Lantern

An absolute antique gem this most interesting and decorative nautical lantern. Dating from the mid 19th century approximately this is an excellent unique example of coastal folk art, a fusion of stained glass skill and lantern maker craftsmanship  . Possibly commissioned for a seamans misson or church it is illuminated by a single candle. This piece is sure to add a visiual character to your home or business abode.

Condition commensurate with age and use. Some cracks to the stained glass also rear door missing.
