A nice example of an ebonied Sussex Chair with rush seat from the 19th Century Arts&Crafts movement period (1860-1910). Stamped with the initials W.B on the back leg. A decorative, sinuous design by Phillip Webb and popularised by Arts&Crafts leading lights such as John Morris.
Condition commensurate with age and use.
